ABOUT

Welcome to the official website for the Song for Life Studio!

Welcome to Song for Life Studio!

Hi there! I am thrilled to have you here. My name is Heather Roberts, and I’m here to provide your vocal/piano music needs for your special events!

I’m thrilled you have found my website, and am looking forward to hearing about your special event. Some of the most beautiful art forms on the planet are singing and playing the piano! Rest assured, my methods and approach are all about your event, your requests and your needs.

Some of the events I have provided piano/vocal music for include wedding ceremonies, funerals, cocktail parties, holiday events, social gatherings and dinner entertainment.

My coaches and instructors have dubbed me what they call a ‘crossover’ singer. That is, I am not placed in one genre or style of singing. I enjoy multiple styles of voice; jazz, pop, modern/contemporary, musical theater, classical, etc. I don’t like to stay in the box for singing styles, but rather enjoy singing many styles!

In addition, I was what they call a late bloomer at the keyboard. I began learning to play the piano at the age of 14! My story is proof one does not need to begin in the single digits of age(s) to start something new and achieve their musical goals. In hindsight, it is incredible I have been playing the piano for 15 years! Where does the time go?!

Feel free to check out my full bio, studio policy and other related materials. If you have any burning questions about me or my brand-new voice/piano studio and music services, please head on over to my 'Contact' page, send me an email or leave a quick voicemail, so we can chat about your special event needs today!

BIO

Heather's music journey began with singing in the back row of the church choir. From there, she joined the bands/choirs at her hometown high school. At 14, she took to the piano/keyboard. Her passion for music drove her to study at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she completed a Bachelor of Music Education degree, receiving the WI DPI Triple Licensure for Choral/General + Instrumental Music Education (EC-Adolescent). She now holds her Lifetime Teaching License.

Heather has studied a variety of musical styles including: classical, opera, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, chamber and liturgical music; studied in the areas of voice, clarinet, piano, instrumental and choral conducting. Heather was a choral director for the past four years teaching 5th through 12th grade choirs in a northeastern Wisconsin public school district. She also obtained a Certificate of Distinction in Vocal Pedagogy and 18 Professional Development credits from the Boston Conservatory @ Berklee College of Music in the summer of 2023, by participating in the Vocal Pedagogy Professional Workshop in Boston, Massachusetts.

Currently, she is providing music for Catholic masses, wedding ceremonies, funerals and special events throughout northeastern Wisconsin, the Green Bay and De Pere areas. In her spare time, Heather enjoys reading novels, knitting, crocheting, writing, landscape photography, ballroom dancing and spending time with family, friends and her black cat, Boo.
